Hi, I’m Katia — an outdoor portrait photographer based in Vancouver.
I take meaningful portraits in nature, for the milestones worth remembering. Family, maternity, engagement, elopement, or just you, exactly as you are.
Book a free one-hour discovery call — let’s chat about what you’re dreaming of, what I can offer, and whether we’re the right fit.
I offer this service in English, Italian, French, and Arabic, so you can feel comfortable expressing yourself in your own language.
About the Eye behind the Camera
Photography is a way of remembering who we are, and how we are — a witness that proves we exist, here and there, preserving our emotions and our beauty in time.
There was a time when I didn’t like the version of myself I saw. I struggled to accept myself just the way I am — pretty and unique, like everybody else. Then, one day, I saw a picture of a delicate woman posing in the calm water of a lake — simple, peaceful and beautiful — and something shifted. I wanted to feel that way about myself too.
So I started my journey into photography and self-portraiture. Not just to capture the beautiful landscapes around me, but to find beauty in myself. Picture by picture, self-portrait by self-portrait, I found it. And that feeling is priceless.
Years later, I still pick up the camera for the same reason, and I love it.
Now I turn that same eye on others, and I try to give them what my own self-portraits gave me — the chance to look at themselves and think: I’m beautiful, just as I am.
Portfolio
Every portrait tells a story — some are a tale of self-discovery, others capture shared, tender moments between people, some are born from collaboration, and others are simply the product of pushing your own boundaries. From self-portraits to collaborations to experiments, this is where the work speaks for itself.
Photography Retreats
Something new is on the horizon — small-group photography retreats, built around connection to nature and to each other.
The destination is Italy — but not the Italy you’ve seen a thousand times. A region so unexplored it rarely makes the map, yet you’ve likely seen it before without knowing it: in films and the backdrop of stories you didn’t realize were real. High mountain peaks, ancient ruins, medieval castles, mist-covered forests, and sleeping lakes, all set against the deep colors of autumn.
I’m scouting this journey myself in autumn 2026, before opening it to you in autumn 2027.
