Solo Portrait Session in Nature | BC Outdoor Photographer
You don’t need a wedding, an anniversary, or a milestone to be the reason for a photoshoot. You are.
A solo portrait session in nature is a chance to slow down and celebrate exactly who you are, right now — no occasion required. Out in the forest, by the water, on a quiet trail, nature has a way of reminding us to simply be present, to stop performing and let ourselves show up as we actually are. That same quality is what makes an outdoor portrait feel different from a studio one: nothing to live up to, nowhere to be, just you and the landscape around you.
As a professional outdoor photographer based in British Columbia, I offer guided individual portrait sessions in forests, along coastlines, by lakes, and in the mountains — each one shaped around you, your story, and the mood you want to capture. A personal branding refresh, a set of images that finally feel like you, or simply time spent honoring where you are — this session gives that moment its due.

Solo Portrait Session: A Fairy-Tale Portfolio in West Vancouver
This story is about a beauty that feels like it belongs somewhere else entirely — timeless, otherworldly, straight out of a storybook.
Holly-Rose Sheridan, a model originally from Ireland, reached out to build her modeling portfolio. From the moment I saw her, there was an ethereal quality to her — the kind of look that doesn’t need much beyond good light and the right setting to feel like something out of a fairy tale.
We set the session in West Vancouver, choosing a location where ocean and forest sit close together, giving us two completely different backdrops within a single shoot — misty trees in one frame, open water and rock in the next — without ever having to leave the area.
What stayed with me about this session was how naturally her presence matched the landscape. It was an absolute pleasure capturing Holly-Rose essence.
